About Our Church

combinedvisualThe members and friends of Our Savior Lutheran Church gather together to praise God in worship and in our lives. To this end our fellowship is committed to sharing the message of Jesus’ gift of grace for all. We welcome all who wish to pray, praise and give thanks – and to place themselves under the Holy Word of God for growth and direction. We offer many opportunities to grow in faith and fellowship. We have Bible Study Sunday mornings before service for those who want to better understand the selected Old Testament, Epistle and Gospel Readings for the days Divine Worship. We also gather after service for fellowship downstairs where you can have coffee (juice or milk) with old and new friends alike along with a snack and plenty of conversation. We welcome you to join us. Check our Calendar for other Bible Studies & Fellowship opportunities.

Our Mission

No matter what we do, our purpose is to proclaim the message of Jesus Christ. That wonderful Good News is the focus of our worship and it is why we invite others to join us. Everything we do must serve our sharing of the Gospel. God wants us to get wrapped up in people. He has placed us here to touch the hearts and lives of people. We are people bound together by the forgiving love of Jesus.

There are many needs in the ministry here at Our Savior. The gifts God has given to all the members are needed to accomplish what God has set before us. God provides everything and we manage it. There will never be a shortage of things needed to accomplish our ministry. Everything we need to accomplish our ministry and more is available to us. The question is whether we are going to properly use what God has entrusted to us. Time for His service: skills for His purposes and financial blessings, all to His glory.

Our Goals

Worship the Lord in spirit and truth. (John 4:24, Hebrews 10:23-25)

Honor the Lord with Biblically faithful teaching. (2 Timothy 4:1-5)

Inspire God's people to share their faith naturally and eagerly. (1 Peter 3:15)

Provide a variety of opportunities for Christians and seekers to grow spiritually through the regular study of the Word. (1 Peter 2:1-2, Hebrews 6:1-2)

Honor the Lord with music and song, praising Him with songs, hymns and spiritual songs. (Psalm 33:1-4, Ephesians 5:19-20)

Provide Christian care to help carry each other’s burdens. (Galatians 6:2, Matthew 25:34)

Encourage and equip young people to live faithful lives in their youth.

(1 Timothy 4:12)

Identify and equip spiritual leadership among lay and professional servants of the Lord. (Ephesians 4:11-12, 2 Timothy 1:6-7)

Maintain our facilities as good stewards of God’s gracious gifts. (James 1:17)

As you can see all the above statements are grounded in Scripture, which is the most steadfast resource for our lives as Christians.
